God didn't have to make our world in color. He could have made it black and white. He didn't have to make all the different varieties of flowers and plants, but He did. And He didn't have to make all of us the same, yet so different, but He did that too.
I am so glad God did the things He did because it gives me, the artist, endless possibilities to try and capture a small part of the essence of the beauty of our world.
What a marvelous thing that we can use our creativity and knowledge to express the mood of a grey and stormy sea in one painting and the happiness of a child playing on the beach in the next.
I hope that I am able to bring pleasure to people through my paintings whether it's a meadow with spring flowers or some happy cows going out to pasture. It certainly is my great passion and joy to do so.
